Undoubtedly Gas Gas seems to be the most pro-active Factory on the transfer market so far. After confirming the return of Christophe NAMBOTIN (F), Gio SALA has just announced the arrival of a third rider: Danny MCCANNEY (GB)!
After three seasons with the Husqvarna Factory, Danny MCCANNEY returns to the team where he made his FIM Maxxis EnduroGP World Championship debut.
The 2013 Junior World Champion, the oldest of the MCCANNEY brothers, finished in the Top 5 of the Enduro 2 category and also took his first Senior class victory at the final round of 2017 in Germany.
Like NAMBOTIN, the rider from the Isle of Man made his world career debut with Gas Gas. Via the British importer, Danny was able to take some great results and he flew the flag for Gas Gas on the podium of the Junior category (3rd overall in 2012).
So it is another big signing for the Catalan company, which will look strong in 2018 with Antoine BASSET (F), Christophe NAMBOTIN (F) and Danny MCCANNEY.
The team are showing their ambition and commitment once again...
With Gas Gas, Yamaha and Honda already very active, this offseason 2017-18 is very exciting and unpredictable. There will be many changes in the paddock ahead of the season opener in Finland, March 17/18 2018. There are still some big names on the market, and many teams have not made any moves yet. The coming weeks will be packed with transfer and team news.
