HOLCOMBE & FREEMAN Finish the Job, REMES Against All Odds!

The final round of this 2018 season, which took place in Rüdersdorf, Germany, kept all its promises after seven other thrilling GPs. While Steve HOLCOMBE (GB - Beta) and Brad FREEMAN (GB - Beta Boano) were able to lift their crowns on the first day, there was drama until the very last in the E2 class...

In EnduroGP, Steve HOLCOMBE finished the job with a double victory. Crowned on Saturday after a great battle with Brad FREEMAN, the Factory Beta rider dominated on Sunday - the Brit winning his second EnduroGP crown in a row. FREEMAN was able to take advantage of Alex SALVINI's (I - Husqvarna) setbacks to finish Vice-Champion while Eero REMES (SF - TM) completed the final podium of the Championship.

Holcombe

In addition to the EGP class, HOLCOMBE arrived in Germany with the 24MX Leader Plate in Enduro 3. Again, the Factory Beta rider, with another victory, received his World Champion plate on Saturday night. In the duel between Christophe NAMBOTIN (F - Gas Gas) and Danny MCCANNEY (GB - Gas Gas) for the place of Vice - Champion, it was the Frenchman who won out by just two points!

For his part, Brad FREEMAN also killed the suspense very quickly since a new victory, the 10th in a row, allowed him to be crowned E1 World Champion on the first day. Despite a very good start to the season for Jamie MCCANNEY (GB - Yamaha), who finished Vice-Champion, nothing could stop FREEMAN, only one year after his Junior title. Antoine BASSET (F - Gas Gas) completed the final podium of the smallest capacity class.

In E2, Alex SALVINI landed in Germany with the 24MX Leader Plate and a 14 point advantage. But it seems that history had decided otherwise for the Italian. Third on the first day, "SALVO" was almost assured the title on Sunday but a branch tangled with his bike and broke a cable. This left the field free for Eero REMES to go to win his 3rd title, his first in E2. LARRIEU (F - Yamaha) also took the opportunity to take the place of Vice-Champion ...

Crowned at the Grand Prix of France, Matteo CAVALLO (I - Beta Boano) and Ruy BARBOSA (CL - Husqvarna) could enjoy the ride without stress this weekend. For his part, CAVALLO scored a podium on Saturday and a 4th place on Sunday while BARBOSA won took the double in Youth 125cc.

Remes

This season had a bit of everything with intense rounds, twists in the tale, and surprises at each Grand Prix. Despite this, the 24MX Leaders HOLCOMBE, FREEMAN, CAVALLO and BARBOSA did not falter and finished the job, while Eero REMES demonstrated that it's never over until it’s over…

See you again in 2019 for a fresh season that already promises a lot of emotions and crazy races!
