HOLCOMBE Takes Over From REMES!

The Enduro Test of the Acerbis Grand Prix of Germany was feared by almost all the riders. And for good reason, this test was typically German; deep in the forest with tree roots and mud. Located in Börnichen, a few kilometers from Zschopau, this last KTM Enduro Test of the season was very popular with the public. And for the sixth year of running the Mika Ahola "Brave One" Trophy, it is Steve HOLCOMBE (GB - Beta) who wins the title of the fastest rider on this type of special test!

HOLCOMBE Uncatchable!

Just 8 points ahead of Josep GARCIA (E - KTM) and 12 ahead of Jamie MCCANNEY (GB - Yamaha) coming into the final round, the factory Beta rider could not relax despite winning his EnduroGP title on Saturday...
"I was very keen to get this belt..." Confided HOLCOMBE. "AHOLA has always been someone to look up to when I was young, and this Brave One Trophy was one of the goals of my season! I am very proud to have won this belt"
The Brit gave his all for this goal and didn’t leave anything to chance by winning the six Enduro Tests of the weekend!
Behind HOLCOMBE, Jamie MCCANNEY achieved two nice second places, while Josep GARCIA (E - KTM), preferring to concentrate on taking the Enduro 2 title, completed the top three (4/6).
A special mention goes to the very first winner of the "Brave One", Christophe NAMBOTIN (F - KTM), who showed that he is capable of top performances in the German Enduro Test (5/3). And also, Danny MCCANNEY (GB - Husqvarna) who completed his season on a high (3/5)...

At a time when the youth have taken control of the Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship (six riders 26 and under in the Top 10), Steve HOLCOMBE stands out as the leader of this "golden generation”, winning the EnduroGP title as well as the Mika Ahola "Brave One" Trophy. He joins a prestigious list of riders such as NAMBOTIN, SALVINI, RENET, MEO and REMES who have also had the privilege of being the fastest in the Enduro Tests, where Mika AHOLA himself so often excelled and took many victories...
